RUWA WORSHIP
What is RUWA?
Ruwa Worship is a Spirit-led, youth-driven worship movement that exists to unite the next generation in wholehearted worship of God through music, testimony, and authentic community. Rooted in local churches, Ruwa brings together youth across churches, cultures, and cities to create sacred spaces of praise, surrender, and encounter.

OUR STORY
The heartbeat of Ruwa began in 2019, when a small group of youth worship teams from different churches came together (DCFC, CCCFC, NLGC) — not to perform, but to worship Jesus as one body. There was no spotlight — just a shared hunger to lift high the name of Jesus. That night, something beautiful was born: unity in worship that transcended church walls.
In 2024, Ruwa hosted a powerful worship night featuring five youth worship teams from across the Plano and Frisco areas. More than 100 students, volunteers, and church leaders came together in a night of unified worship, prayer, and testimony.
In 2025, Ruwa expands Ruwa Worship Nights to two nights and six youth worship bands, including participation from various local ethnic churches, in hopes of fostering deeper interconnection among the broader body of Christ. This growth, in both scale and diversity, reflects our continued mission to bridge cultures and generations through worship, ultimately creating a space where all youth can unite under one name: Jesus.
This year, Ruwa Summer Night was introduced in August — a sacred evening of reflection and worship. It marks a meaningful moment between the end of summer and the beginning of a new school year, as students pause to prepare their hearts and refocus their lives on Christ. More than just an event, it's a time to be still, to remember God’s faithfulness, and to step into a new season with renewed purpose.

In the fall of 2025, Ruwa also launched the first semester of Ruwa Music School, beginning with Acoustic Guitar and Drums classes hosted at local churches. Through hands-on training, mentorship, and Christ-centered learning, the program equips young musicians not just to play skillfully, but to serve humbly, raising a new generation of worshippers who lead with both excellence and heart.

OUR BELIEFS
Ruwa Worship is a non-denominational Christian ministry rooted in historic, orthodox Christian faith. We emphasize the authority of Scripture, the centrality of the gospel, and the transforming power of God's grace. We welcome partnership with any Bible-believing church that shares our commitment to Christ-centered worship and youth discipleship.
THE BIBLE
We believe the Bible is God's inspired, authoritative, and sufficient Word. Scripture is our final authority for faith and practice, revealing God's character, His redemptive plan, and how we are to live as His people.
THE GOSPEL
We believe the gospel is the good news that Jesus—fully God and fully man—lived perfectly, died for our sins, and rose again to bring salvation. Though all are separated from God by sin, through Christ’s death and resurrection, God offers forgiveness and reconciliation. Salvation is a gift of grace received through faith alone in Jesus Christ.
THE TRINITY
We believe in one God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—eternally existing in three persons, equal in power and glory yet distinct in role. The Holy Spirit dwells in every believer, empowering holy living, gifting for service, and shaping us through Scripture, prayer, community, and worship to reflect Christ.
WORSHIP
We believe worship is the response of the redeemed to the God who saves. True worship engages the whole person—heart, mind, soul, and strength—and flows from a life transformed by the gospel. Worship is not confined to music but encompasses all of life lived for God's glory.
THE CHURCH
We believe the Church is the body of Christ, made up of all who trust in Jesus as Lord and Savior. The local church is God's primary means of building His kingdom, discipling believers, and demonstrating His love to the world. We exist to serve and strengthen the local church, not to replace it.
MISSIONS
We believe God calls His people to proclaim the gospel and make disciples of all nations. We are committed to equipping young people to share their faith naturally and winsomely, inviting others to experience the hope and transformation found in Jesus Christ.
CHRIST'S RETURN
We believe Jesus will return personally and visibly to judge the living and the dead, bringing final redemption to His people and establishing His eternal kingdom.
"There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call—one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all." — Ephesians 4:4-6
